Erin Stratman is a multi instrumentalist and songwriter who has lived and worked in the Saint Louis area for most of his life.
He studied guitar with Tim Fischer, Dave Black and Greg Dallas, and takes weekly drum lessons with the great underground drum teacher Mike Schurk.
Having started on the violin at age 9, He became enamored with the guitar at 15 after hearing Jimi Hendrix, Cream, The beatles and other artists.
his mom then purchased him a guitar from a pawn shop, and a dark, salacious, and beautiful love affair with music of all sorts continued unfolding from there.
Destiny is a word often loosely thrown around by those with little understanding of the universe, and less wisdom than a third world 9 year old, but perhaps there is some element of destiny in the fact that his last name is Stratman and his 2nd guitar was a gorgeous Mexican Stratocaster, chosen to emulate Jimi Hendrix.
